Get your transactions from Discover
- Sign in on a computer. A downloaded file is easiest to save and import from there.
- Open your account's activity. Look for the download option, choose CSV, and pick the dates since your last import.
- No download for your account? Use a statement instead: save it as a PDF and let the assistant read it.
If the download gives you an Excel workbook (.xls or .xlsx), the file import can't open it, but the assistant can.
Bring it into UrBudget
For a CSV, set Dates in the file to the order it uses: 10/31/2026 is month/day/year. An Excel workbook goes to the assistant instead. Then choose Import file on your Discover account and check the preview; the import guide has every step, and what the assistant sends to your AI provider when it reads a statement.
If something looks wrong
- Purchases show up as money coming in. The CSV writes purchases as positive amounts. Tick Purchases are positive (UrBudget 1.0.3 and later) and preview again.
- Your Activity page has no download. Use a statement PDF and the assistant, as above.
Budget with your Discover file
Free for 30 days on Windows and macOS, then $9 once. UrBudget reads the files you download and never connects to your bank.
