Get your transactions from USAA
- Sign in at usaa.com on a computer and open the account.
- Look for the export or download option with the account's transactions. Choose CSV and the dates since your last import.
- Or download a statement. USAA lets you download your bank statements. Save one as a PDF and let the assistant read it.
Do one account at a time: checking, savings and each card go into their own account in UrBudget. For a long history, statements work month by month. If two downloads or statements cover the same days, the review catches the repeats.
Bring it into UrBudget
For a CSV, set Dates in the file to the order it uses: 10/31/2026 is month/day/year. Import checking, savings and each card into their own account. Then choose Import file on your USAA account and check the preview; the import guide has every step, and what the assistant sends to your AI provider when it reads a statement.
If something looks wrong
- Purchases show up as money coming in. The CSV writes them as positive amounts. Tick Purchases are positive (UrBudget 1.0.3 and later) and preview again.
- You can't find a download. Use a statement PDF and the assistant, as above.
Budget with your USAA file
Free for 30 days on Windows and macOS, then $9 once. UrBudget reads the files you download and never connects to your bank.
